What is SceneHai?
SceneHai is a hyperlocal meetup app. People post small plans, called Scenes (a cricket game, a founders' coffee, a board-game night, a food walk), and others nearby request to join. The host accepts who comes, the group gets a chat, and everyone checks in when they arrive.
Which cities is SceneHai available in?
SceneHai opens first in Delhi, Gurugram and Jaipur, on Android and iPhone, by December 2026. Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune follow. Join the waitlist for your city and we'll email you the day it opens.
Is SceneHai free to use?
Yes. SceneHai is free to download and use. There is nothing to pay to post a Scene or to join one.
How is SceneHai different from dating apps?
SceneHai is not a dating app. Every Scene starts with a reason to meet (play a sport, network, learn something, eat somewhere new) and a place and time. There is no swiping and no matching. You request to join a plan, the host says yes, and you meet as a group. One-on-one Scenes are only allowed at public places.
How is SceneHai different from Meetup or Bumble BFF?
Meetup is built around ongoing groups and organised events. Bumble BFF matches you with one person at a time by swiping. SceneHai is for small, one-off plans happening near you soon: you see what's on today or this weekend, request to join, and meet a few people at a public place. Every plan shows who it's for, where it happens and how reliable the host is.
What is the Shows up score (reliability score)?
It shows how often someone keeps their plans. It is built from proof, not promises: checking in at the spot when you arrive, the host's roll call after the Scene, and guests confirming the host came. Cancelling in the last 24 hours or not turning up lowers it. Hosts see it before they accept a request.
How do I post a Scene?
Pick what the plan is for, add up to five tags like #Cricket or #Founders, choose a place (a listed venue, a public spot, or your own place), then set the time and group size. It takes about a minute. People nearby who would like it get notified.
Is SceneHai safe?
Safety is built into how a Scene works. You request to join and the host decides. Every Scene is marked Public place, Private place or Online. For a private place, only the area is shown, and the address goes to accepted guests. Hosts of private Scenes must verify their phone number. You can report or block anyone. How is my location used?
Your location is used while the app is open, to show Scenes near you and to confirm you arrived when you check in. It is never tracked in the background, and other people never see where you are.
