Community Guidelines

SceneHai thrives when everyone shows up, respects each other, and follows through on plans. These guidelines keep the community safe, fun, and authentic.

THE SCENEHAI PROMISE

Our core promise is simple: post a vibe, find your people, actually show up. Every rule here exists to protect that promise — for you and for everyone else on the platform.

✓ DO
  • Treat every person with basic dignity and respect
  • Be inclusive — SceneHai is for all 18+ urban Indians
  • Accept that others may politely decline your requests
  • Use welcoming, inclusive language
✗ DON'T
  • Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
  • Send unsolicited romantic or sexual messages
  • Discriminate based on caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability
  • Use slurs or derogatory language of any kind
✓ DO
  • Use your real name and a clear, recent profile photo
  • Accurately represent your personality and intentions
  • Be transparent about what kind of hangout you're hosting
✗ DON'T
  • Create fake profiles or impersonate anyone
  • Misrepresent your age, location, or identity
  • Use misleading scene titles to harvest join requests
  • Catfish — use SceneHai for romantic deception
✓ DO
  • Show up when you say you will — this is the whole point
  • Cancel at least 2 hours before if your plans change
  • Notify the Host if you're running late
  • Mark yourself en route or arrived in Mission Control
✗ DON'T
  • Ghost — accept and simply not appear without notice
  • Cancel repeatedly without a good reason
  • Join multiple overlapping scenes with no intention of attending all

⚠️ Repeated ghosting reduces your Reliability Score and may lead to account restrictions. Showing up is how trust is built on SceneHai.

  • Respect others' privacy boundaries
  • Get consent before photographing or recording others
  • Keep private conversations private
✗ DON'T
  • Share another person's location or address without consent (doxxing)
  • Screenshot private conversations to share publicly
  • Post photos of others without explicit permission
  • Share someone's SceneHai profile without their consent
✓ DO
  • Meet in public places for first-time meetups
  • Tell a trusted contact where you're going
  • Use the Safety Check-In feature when available
  • Trust your instincts — leave if you feel unsafe
  • Report unsafe behavior immediately
✗ DON'T
  • Invite strangers to private residences for a first meetup
  • Share your home or work address with new people
  • Pressure anyone to stay at a meetup
  • Use SceneHai to plan any illegal activity

SceneHai does not conduct background checks. The Reliability Score is a community trust indicator, not a safety guarantee. Always exercise personal judgment.

  • Use Scene Chat and DMs for meetup coordination
  • Be friendly and welcoming as a Host
  • Respond to messages in a timely manner
✗ DON'T
  • Spam users with repeated messages or join requests
  • Send unsolicited promotional messages
  • Use messages to harass, intimidate, or threaten
  • Send hate speech or violent content
✓ DO
  • Host scenes for genuine social connection
  • Share authentic plans based on real hangouts
✗ DON'T
  • Recruit for MLM, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent investments
  • Charge joiners money for your scenes
  • Promote paid commercial events without approval
  • Use SceneHai for business lead generation
✓ DO
  • Report any profile suspected to belong to someone under 18
  • Report any content involving minors immediately
✗ DON'T
  • Use SceneHai if you are under 18
  • Create scenes specifically targeting minors
  • Share any sexual content involving minors (criminal offence under POCSO, 2012)

We report all child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to law enforcement immediately, with zero exceptions and no appeals.

  • Celebrate India's diversity of cultures, religions, and languages
  • Foster inclusive scenes that welcome everyone
✗ DON'T
  • Promote or glorify hate groups, terrorism, or violent extremism
  • Share content inciting violence against any community
  • Use SceneHai to organize extremist movements
✓ DO
  • Report bugs and security issues to security@scenehai.com
  • Use SceneHai as intended — for real social connections
✗ DON'T
  • Use bots or automated tools to access SceneHai
  • Attempt to hack, scrape, or reverse-engineer the platform
  • Manipulate the Reliability Score fraudulently
  • Create multiple accounts to evade bans

Level 4 Criminal content, CSAM, violence Immediate ban + law enforcement referral
REPORT VIOLATIONS

Use the Report button on any profile, scene, or message in the app. For urgent safety matters, email safety@scenehai.com — we aim to respond within 24 hours.
